Decks of Distinction has been a fixture in the Indianapolis area since 1991. We have become one of the larger custom deck contractors in the area for three reasons: Our customer service, our expertise, and our top quality decks.

Customer Service. Customer service really encompasses every part of our business. It starts with the little things; we answer our phones during business hours. No voice mail and no answering service. When you call Decks of Distinction, you get to talk to someone about your project. It's that simple.

We encourage all of our clients to ask questions until they are satisfied. If you have a concern about your project, please give us the opportunity to address the issue. We recently had some customers come in with pictures of their newly built deck that did not meet their expectations. The owner of Decks of Distinction sat down with them personally, and listened to their concerns. We corrected the problems; met with our installation crew to discuss our expectations and our client's expectations; and ended up getting a glowing letter from the customer about how impressed they were with how we handled the situation.

We try very hard to train our team members so that these kinds of things don't happen. When something slips through the cracks, we will do the right thing.

Deck experts. Decks of Distinction has been building and designing custom decks since 1991. We are one of the leading installers of composite decking products in the Indianapolis area. We are the only company in Indianapolis to be awarded "Pro Gold" status by the Trex decking company and be recognized as a "Premier contractor" by Timbertech decking. Trex and Timbertech are the two largest manufacturers of composite decking in the country.

In 2007, 78% of our decks were built using some type of composite decking. Nationally, about 12% of decks are built using composite materials; so we are much more knowledgeable than most contractors about these new products.

Quality built decks. The high quality materials used to build your deck will be obvious. So will the superb craftsmanship.

But when your deck is completed, no one will know that heavy duty 5" lag screws were used to connect every post and beam. They won't see the triple coated steel joist hangers. In fact, they won't see any of the `behind the scenes' extras that go into every Decks of Distinction deck. But that doesn't make them any less important than the quality features you can see.
